Steve Grissom has more than thirty years of experience in public accounting.  He received his BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1976 where he continued with graduate studies in taxation.  He began his career working for the Dallas office of Deloitte & Touche for six years. While serving as a tax manager at Deloitte & Touche, he was primarily responsible for the estate, gift, and trust tax practice of the Dallas office. Since forming his own practice in 1983, Mr. Grissom has continued to spend time working in the estate, gift, and trust area. Additionally, Mr. Grissom has three years experience as the Senior Corporate Controller and Treasurer of an international software company. 
 
Steve has been a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs, the Dallas CPA Society, and the Dallas Estate Planning Council. His involvement in these organizations has included serving on the Board of Directors of the TSCPA, a Director of the Dallas Society of CPAs, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Dallas Estate Planning Council. In 1988 the Dallas CPA Society named him “Young CPA of the Year.”  He is a frequent speaker at numerous continuing education courses for CPAs, professional seminars, and civic groups across the state. 
 
Steve is an active member of Arapaho United Methodist Church.  In his spare time, he enjoys either riding his motorcycle or umpiring fast-pitch softball.  Steve is active in his community through the Richardson Exchange Club.  Steve is a past President of that club and this past year served on the board of the Texas-Louisiana District.  Steve has three daughters.  Melissa completed her masters in Industrial Engineering at Texas Tech University, and is working at Sabre.  She was previously a National Champion cheerleader at Texas State University in 2006.  Kimberly received her degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from University of Colorado at Boulder.  She intends on continuing her education through medical school.  The youngest, Stephanie, is a junior at Texas Tech University majoring in Psychology and intends on continuing her education through Law School.  Stephanie was an avid softball player. She made all-district all four years of high school and was a leading component in her team's success as back-to-back District Champions in 2005 and 2006.
